2015 Gert-Johan Coetzee Bursary winner
7 Hopefull GJC Bursary finalist showed up at the 2015 Platinum Fashion Festival all with their eyes on the prize the 2015 GJC bursary. These were Vusi George(KLD), Lericia Ford (KLD), Bianca Van Niekerk(PTA), Linda Mabaso (Matlosanna), Elaine Koen (PTA), Kennedy Rakhetla(JHB) and Carina Joubert(PTA)
Each Finalist went through a one on one interview with Gert-Johan and showed off their talent with T-Shirts that they had upcycled.
Then in anticipation they all waited until during the 2nd Year Couture Collection show when Gert-Johan announced who his lucky Bursary recipient for 2015 is. . .
And the 2015 GJC Bursary winner is Linda Mabaso from Joberton NW

This Is What Linda Had to say about The Bursary And Fashion
"The
most important thing is that I love designing, and the truth is I do not have a
plan B or C in life. Designing has always been something that I am passionate
about, ever since I was a little girl, perhaps it even reflects my purpose of
becoming one of the world’s best designers. I am very unique and self-driven,
it would be a dream come true to be mentored by one of South Africa’s best
designers. My fashion goal is to see everybody being able to express their identity through fashion. My moto is “Do what you love and love what you do”
because it is not about the money, it is about following your passion and being the best that you can be to be."
